The U.S. Postal Service makes its FedACH® connection with FedLine DirectSM
January 2007The U.S. Postal Service was eager to sign on as a pilot customer of FedLine Direct, the Federal Reserve Banks’ newest access solution leveraging Internet Protocol (IP) technology for larger organizations requiring a secure, reliable and flexible unattended connection to FedACH and other services. The reason is simple: The U.S. Postal Service is working to phase out its old System Network Architecture (SNA)-based communication solutions, which are difficult to support. For just this reason, the Federal Reserve Banks are committed to providing FedLine Direct, with its IP-based technology, to their CI customers.
