Q: What change is taking place?
A: The Federal Reserve Banks will begin distributing Capital Stock monthly statement of holdings and semi-annual dividend advices via FedMail. You may or may not receive the statement of holdings on a routine basis today. Going forward, this report will be generated and distributed via FedMail at the end of each month.
Q: How can my organization subscribe to FedMail Services?
A: Organizations may enroll in FedMail by using the FedMail Services sign-up process.
Q: My organization already subscribes to FedMail. What do I need to do to use the service?
A: If your institution already subscribes to FedMail, you must still submit a Federal Reserve FedMail Request Form indicating you would like to receive the Capital Stock statements and advices via this service. To do so, please:
Note: Do not include other reports or advices your staff currently receives via FedMail, unless changes are necessary.
Q: Is there a separate fee for this service?
A: There is no fee for this service for existing or new FedMail customers receiving the statements and advices via email. However, your organization may use FedMail for other services, which may be priced. In this case, there will not be any additional fee assessed for Capital Stock statements.
Q: When will the statements and advices be available via FedMail?
A: The monthly statement of holding will be distributed via FedMail as early as October 31, 2011 and semi-annual dividend advices beginning December 31, 2011.
Q: Is FedMail a requirement for receiving these statements and advices?
A: Organizations are not required to receive statements and advices. When the paper mailing of statements and advices is sunset in June 2012, FedMail will be the only method available to receive them.
Q: Where can additional information be found?
A: For more information, contact the CCC at (888) 333-7010, option 1.
