2008 Independence Day Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Banks will be closed on Friday, July 4th for the Independence Holiday.  Please refer to the instructions listed below.

Check 21 Holiday Instructions

In observance of Independence Day, the Federal Reserve's Check 21 operation will not be staffed Friday, July 4. However, the Check 21 processing platform will be operational and file acknowledgements delivered for all deposits. FedForward and FedReturn files deposited after 10:00am ET Thursday, July 3rd, will be processed for the business day of Monday, July 7th. Should you have any problems between 11:00pm ET Thursday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 6th at 7:00pm ET, please leave a message at 800.762.0713 and your call will be returned.

FedACH Holiday Instructions

FedACH will close for Independence Day at 3:00 AM ET on Friday, July 4, 2008, and will resume processing at 5:30 PM ET on Sunday, July 6, 2008, with the third file delivery beginning at 8:15 PM ET. If your normal delivery day is Friday, July 4, you will not receive your cash order prior to the holiday.  If you need cash for the holiday, please order extra on the previous week. 

If your normal delivery day is Monday, July 7 or Tuesday, July 8 place your cash order one day earlier than your normal order day.

Orders placed on Thursday, July 3, 2008   will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Monday, July 7th.

Attention cash order users!  This message is in reference to the upcoming Forth of July holiday.  The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Friday July 4, 2008, in observance of Independence Day.  If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Friday July 4, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Thursday, July 3, 2008 before the holiday. If you normally place your order on Thursday for Friday pick up, your order must be placed before your deadline on Wednesday, July 2. If you normally place your order on Friday for Monday pick up, you must place your order before your deadline on Thursday, July 3. Please contact your carrier directly regarding delivery schedules.

Cash orders that would normally be picked up from the Federal Reserve Bank by your carrier on Friday, July 4th, will need to be placed no later than 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2nd.  These orders will be available for carrier pick-up on Thursday, July 3rd.
