2008 Memorial Day Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2008 for the Memorial Day Holiday. Please refer to the instructions listed for your local office below.

Cash Holiday Instructions

First District

Boston

If your normal delivery day is Monday, May 26, you will not receive your cash order prior to the holiday.  If you need cash for the holiday, please order extra on the previous week. 

If your normal delivery day is Tuesday, May 27 place your cash order one day earlier than your normal order day.

Orders placed on Friday, May 23, 2008 before 2pm EDT will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Tuesday, May 27th. 

Please contact your armored carrier to determine how delivery will be affected by this holiday, and adjust your order dates accordingly.

Attention cash order users!  This message is in reference to the upcoming Memorial Day Holiday.  The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2008, in observance of Memorial Day.  If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Monday, May 26th, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Friday, May 23rd, 2008 before the holiday.  If you normally place your order on Friday for Monday pick up, your order must be placed before your deadline on Thursday, May 22nd.  If you normally place your order on Monday for Tuesday pick up, you must place your order before your deadline on Friday, May 23rd.  Please contact your carrier directly regarding delivery schedules.

Cash orders that would normally be picked up from the Federal Reserve Bank by your carrier on Monday, May 26th, will need to be placed no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 22nd.  These orders will be available for carrier pick-up on Friday, May 23rd.
