2008 Presidents’ Day Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday, February 18, 2008 for the Presidents’ Day Holiday. Please refer to the instructions listed for your local office below.

Cash Holiday Instructions

First District

Boston

If your normal delivery day is Monday, February 18th, you will not receive your cash order prior to the holiday. If you need cash for the holiday, please order extra on the previous week.

If your normal delivery day is Tuesday, February 19th, place your cash order one day earlier than your normal order day.

New York

Orders placed on Friday, February 15th before 2:00 p.m. E.S.T. will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Tuesday, February 19th.

Please contact your armored carrier to determine how delivery will be affected by this holiday, and adjust your order dates accordingly.

Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Buffalo

If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Monday, February 18th, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Friday, February 15th, before the holiday. If you normally place your order on Friday for Monday pick up, your order must be placed before the deadline on Thursday, February 14th. If you normally place your order on Monday for Tuesday pick up, you must place your order before your deadline on Friday, February 15th.

If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Monday, February 18th, and are delivered either on Monday, February 18th, or Tuesday, February 19th, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Friday, February 15th, before the holiday. To avoid a delay in receiving your shipment, please place your order before 1:00 p.m. EST no later than Thursday, February 14th.

Cash orders that would normally be picked up from the Federal Reserve Bank by your carrier on Monday, February 18th, will need to be placed no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 14th. These orders will be available for carrier pick-up on Friday, February 15th.
