2008 Veterans Day Holiday Instructions

District Cash Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Banks will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, to observe the Veteran’s Day holiday.  Please refer to the instructions listed below.

First District

Boston

If your normal delivery day is Tuesday, November 11, you will not receive your cash order prior to the holiday.  If you need cash for the holiday, please order extra on the previous week. 

If your normal delivery day is Wednesday, Nov 12 place your cash order one day earlier than your normal order day.

New York

Orders placed on Monday, November 10, 2008 before 2pm Eastern Time will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Wednesday, November 12.

Please contact your armored carrier to determine how delivery will be affected by this holiday, and adjust your order dates accordingly.

Attention cash order users! This message is in reference to the upcoming Holiday.  The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.

If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Tuesday, November 11, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Monday, November 10, before the holiday. 

If you normally place your order on Monday, for Tuesday pick up, your order must be placed before your deadline on Friday, November 7.  

If you normally place your order on Tuesday, for Wednesday  pick up, you must place your order before your deadline on Monday, November 10. 

Please contact your carrier directly regarding delivery schedules.

If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Tuesday, November 11, and are delivered either on Tuesday, November 11, or Wednesday, November 12, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Monday, November 10, before the holiday. To avoid a delay in receiving your shipment, please place your order before 1:00 p.m. EST no later than Friday, November 7.

Cash orders that would normally be picked up from the Federal Reserve Bank by your carrier on Tuesday, November 11th, will need to be placed no later than 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 7th.  These orders will be available for carrier pick-up on Monday, November 10th.
