2009 Martin Luther King Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday, 1/19/09 for the Martin Luther King Holiday.  Please refer to the instructions listed for your local office below.

FedACH Holiday Instructions

FedACH will close for Martin Luther King Jr. Day at 3:00 AM ET on Saturday, January 17, 2009, and will resume processing at 5:30 PM ET on Monday, January 19, 2009, with the third file delivery beginning at 8:15 PM ET. If you have questions, please contact your designated FedACH Central Operations Support Site.

If your normal delivery day is Monday, Jan. 19th, you will not receive your cash order prior to the holiday.  If you need cash for the holiday, please order extra on the previous week. 

If your normal delivery day is Tues., 20th or Wed., 21st place your cash order one day earlier than your normal order day.

Orders placed on Friday, January 16, 2009 before 2 pm will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Tuesday, January 20, 2009.

The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday, January 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Holiday. If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Monday, January 19, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Friday, January 16, before the holiday. If you normally place your order on Friday, for Monday pick up, your order must be placed before your deadline on Thursday, January 15. If you normally place your order on Monday, for Tuesday pick up, you must place your order before your deadline on Friday, January 16. Please contact your carrier directly regarding delivery schedules.
