2010 Martin Luther King Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday January 18, 2010 for the Martin Luther King Holiday.  Please refer to the instructions listed for your local office below.

Cash Holiday Instructions

First District

If your normal delivery day is Monday, Jan 18, you will not receive your cash order prior to the holiday.  If you need cash for the holiday, please order extra on the previous week. 

If your normal delivery day is Tuesday, Jan 19, place your cash order one day earlier than your normal order day.

Orders placed on Friday, January 15, 2010 before 2pm will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Tuesday, January 19, 2010.  Orders placed after 2pm will be available on Wednesday, January 20, 2010.

Third District

Attention cash order users! This message is in reference to the upcoming Holiday.  The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday, January 18, in observance of Martin Luther King Holiday. If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Monday, January 18, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Friday, January 15, before the holiday. If you normally place your order on Friday, for Monday pick up, your order must be placed before your deadline on Thursday, January 14. If you normally place your order on Monday, for Tuesday pick up, you must place your order before your deadline on Friday, January 15.

If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Monday, January 18, and are delivered either on Monday, January 18, or Tuesday, January 19, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Friday, January 15, before the holiday. To avoid a delay in receiving your shipment, please place your order before 1:00 p.m. EST no later than Thursday, January 14.
