2011 Thanksgiving Day Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Thursday, November 24, 2011 for the Thanksgiving Day Holiday.  Please refer to the instructions listed for your local office below.

Cash Holiday Instructions

First District

Boston

If your normal delivery day is Thursday, Nov. 24  you will not receive your cash order prior to the holiday.  If you need cash for the holiday, please order extra on the previous week. 

If your normal delivery day is Friday, Nov. 25 place your cash order one day earlier than your normal order day.

Orders placed on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 before 2PM Eastern time will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Friday, November 25, 2011. 

Please contact your armored carrier to determine how delivery will be affected by this holiday, and adjust your order dates accordingly.

Attention cash order users! This message is in reference to the upcoming Holiday.  The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Thursday, November 24, in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. If your currency and coin orders are normally picked up at the Federal Reserve on Thursday, November 24, the alternate pick up day is scheduled for Wednesday, November 23, before the holiday.  If you normally place your order on Wednesday, for Thursday  pick up, your order must be placed before your deadline on Tuesday, November 22.  If you normally place your order on Thursday, for Friday pick up, you must place your order before your deadline on Wednesday, November 23.

Cash orders that would normally be picked up from the Federal Reserve Bank by your carrier on Thursday, November 24, will need to be placed no later than 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22.  These orders will be available for carrier pick-up on Wednesday, November 23.
