FedLine CommandSM

As the Federal Reserve Banks retire the System Network Architecture (SNA) Computer Interface (CI) based access solution (PDF), customers are converting to the new unattended Internet Protocol (IP)-based access solutions, FedLine Direct® and FedLine Command. FedLine Command is a lower-cost option for FedACH® users interested in an unattended solution. This solution uses Tumbleweed SecureTransportTM file transfer software to access FedACH Services.

The SNA CI-based access solution will be decommissioned in two phases:

  • By December 31, 2008, the Federal Reserve Banks will end support for SNA CI-based access to critical payment services, including Fedwire® Funds, Fedwire Securities and FedACH Services.
  • By June 30, 2009, the Federal Reserve Banks will end support for SNA CI-based access to other services, including billing, accounting, and other information services.
