Access Solutions Matrix

The Federal Reserve Banks' suite of electronic access solutions are designed to be reliable, flexible and cost effective, with security features tailored to the nature of the services selected by our customers. Federal Reserve Financial Services customers can find a solution that meets their needs, regardless of their size or complexity. We offer two types of access solutions: attended and unattended. Our attended access solutions offer access to critical payment and information services via a web-based interface. Our unattended access solutions are computer-to-computer, IP-based interfaces designed for medium- to high-volume customers. Our electronic access pricing packages are designed to meet the individual connection and contingency needs of your organization, and deliver multiple access solution options for one fee.

• FedPhone^®, a voice-response system, is used to access several financial service offerings. Users can access basic service information and take advantage of the interactive capabilities of FedPhone to submit requests and send information to the Federal Reserve Banks.
• FedMail^® is an electronic messaging system used to transmit information from the Federal Reserve Banks to your organization. FedMail provides an alternate delivery mechanism to paper-based delivery. The service offers same-day delivery of statements and advices from a number of financial service areas.
• FedLine Web^® is an attended, web-based solution, providing rapid, flexible and powerful access to Federal Reserve Financial Services. In addition to accessing informational services, you can also perform limited transactional services such as cash ordering, FedACH^® Returns and NOCs and Check 21. FedLine Web customers also have access to FedMail e-mail at no additional cost. FedLine Web uses the power of the Internet to provide your staff with convenient, same-time access to Federal Reserve Financial Services.
• FedLine Advantage^® uses layered security, including both hardware and software components, to offer web-based access to critical payment services, including FedACH Services, the Fedwire^® Funds Service, the Fedwire Securities Service, and the National Settlement Service. In addition, customers can also access those services available through FedLine Web. This robust solution allows many options for technical customization and integration that enable your organization to leverage its existing infrastructure.
• FedLine Command^SM is an IP-based, low-cost, unattended batch file solution that provides computer-to-computer access to certain critical payment services, beginning with FedACH Services. This solution uses off-the-shelf software for easy integration with your existing infrastructure.
• FedLine Direct^® is the top-level, unattended offering in the Federal Reserve Banks' suite of IP-based access options. FedLine Direct is built upon an upgraded network architecture that offers increased transmission efficiency and diversity, enabling unattended real-time computer-to-computer access to critical payment services. As with all Federal Reserve access solutions, security and reliability are top priorities. FedLine Direct allows your organization to leverage technology investments by utilizing common, off-the-shelf software, providing greater interoperability with your bank's business systems.
