2017 Columbus Day Holiday Instructions

The Federal Reserve Bank will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2017 for the Columbus Day Holiday. Please refer to the instructions listed for your local office below.

Cash Holiday Instructions

First District

Boston

Please remember to place all orders prior to the Noon deadline. Orders placed by the order deadline on any weekday other than the holiday will be available for shipment on the following business day.

Please contact your armored carrier to determine how delivery will be affected by the holiday and adjust your order dates accordingly.


Second District

New York

Orders placed before 1:00pm ET on Friday, October 6th will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Tuesday, October 10th. Orders placed after 1:00pm ET on Friday, October 6th will be ready on Wednesday, October 11th.

Please contact your armored carrier to determine how delivery will be affected by this holiday, and adjust your order dates accordingly.


Third District

Due to the upcoming holiday, you may need to change the day that you normally order currency and coin. This will ensure that we process your order in a timely manner. Cash orders that would normally be picked up from the Federal Reserve Bank by your carrier on Monday, October 9, 2017 will need to be placed no later than 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017. These orders will be available for carrier pick-up on Friday, October 6, 2017.

You may wish to confirm your delivery date with your carrier.

This holiday will affect ordering deadlines for currency and coin placed with Twelfth District offices. Orders placed on Friday, October 6, 2017 by noon in your servicing FRB office, will be available for armored carrier pickup from the Federal Reserve Bank on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
