Notice to Financial Institutions: Treasury Check Verification System (TCVS) Update

The Bureau of the Fiscal Service (Fiscal Service) created the Treasury Check Verification System (TCVS) as a tool to assist financial institutions with their verification of U.S. Treasury checks. TCVS is available through both a secure Application Programming Interface (API) and a public-facing website.
Based upon feedback from the financial industry, Fiscal Service is exploring enhancements of TCVS for its API users to assist financial institutions with additional validation data (such as payee name) when accepting U.S. Treasury checks. Updates from these exploratory efforts will be shared over the next several months via email and other financial industry channels.
