Improving the Paying Agent Experience with Savings Bonds News You Can Use

Thank you for your continued support of the United States Savings Bond Program. As a savings bond paying agent, your institution’s commitment to excellent customer service is appreciated.

We are leveraging the Federal Reserve Bank Services communication channels (, FedFlash®, FedFocusSM, etc.). to give you easy access to information. The objective is to identify ways to streamline and modernize the redemption process to make it easier for your staff to provide high quality, efficient, and accurate services to your customers.

Examples of upcoming materials include:

  • Updates regarding changes to Treasury/FRB processes and systems
  • Tips from other financial institutions for streamlining the processing of customer requests
  • Notifications of website changes
  • Resources available to assist in redeeming savings bonds

We are also establishing a Savings Bond Paying Agent Community group as a forum for you to participate with us and other financial institutions to gather feedback and to exchange ideas. More information on the group will be shared in the future.

  • Resources and tools that you find helpful and how to improve them
