Bureau of the Fiscal Service Seeks Financial Agent Proposals to Support the U.S. Debit Card and Digital Pay Program

The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service (Fiscal Service), is requesting applications from financial institutions interested in becoming a financial agent to provide federal agencies with the ability to deliver federal non-benefit payments (both recurring and non-recurring) through debit cards and digital payments as an alternative to checks, drafts, cash and other non-electronic mechanisms.

The financial agent will provide program enrollment, administration, reporting, card issuance, customer service and program management services in connection with the U.S. Debit Card and Digital Pay Program (USDC).

Applications are due by 5 p.m. ET on May 10, 2021. Full details regarding the application process are available at the Fiscal Service (Off-site) website.
