Bureau of the Fiscal Service Seeks Financial Agent Proposals for Centralized Receivables Service

June 7, 2021

The U.S. Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service (Fiscal Service), seeks applications from qualified financial institutions to serve as a Financial Agent (FA) of the United States.

The selected FA will:

  • Provide services to develop, enhance, operate and maintain the Centralized Receivables Service (CRS) system.
  • Become a FA of the United States and will have a principal-agent relationship with Fiscal Service to provide CRS to Fiscal Service on behalf of federal agencies.

Federal government agencies use the CRS system to collect money that individuals, businesses and states owe the agency (accounts receivable). CRS is a service provided to federal agency programs to assist in the management of non-tax receivables, including servicing and collecting administrative debt and loans.

Interested and eligible financial institutions are invited to go to the CRS (Off-site) web page for further information on filing proposals.

Proposals must be received no later than June 25, 2021.

If you have questions on the proposal submission process, send them to Fiscal Service by email at CRSFASP@fiscal.treasury.gov.
