Federal Reserve Banks add support for Microsoft® Windows® 10

The Federal Reserve Banks now provide support for Microsoft® Windows® 10 for use with the FedLine Web® and FedLine Advantage® Solutions. This change aligns with the Federal Reserve Banks’ goal to take advantage of new technologies.

The default browser for Windows 10 is Microsoft EdgeTM, but we continue to provide support for only Microsoft Internet Explorer® 11. If your organization upgrades to Windows 10, then you must ensure that you use Internet Explorer 11 rather than Microsoft Edge. We continue to support Windows 8.1, Windows 8 and Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) 32-bit and 64-bit versions.

To use Windows 10, your organization must also update your token client software to the latest version. New and renewal FedLine® security token orders shipped on or after July 17, 2017 will contain this updated version. If your organization wishes to upgrade to Windows 10 but has not yet received the updated token client software, please call the Customer Contact Center.

As a reminder, computers used to access Federal Reserve Bank Services via the FedLine Web and FedLine Advantage Solutions must comply with minimum hardware and software requirements. Financial institutions should review the latest hardware and software requirements for FedLine Web and FedLine Advantage and work with their IT departments to ensure compliance with these requirements.
