The Federal Reserve Banks will implement a year-end freeze period for Check Services changes from December 24, 2021, through January 3, 2022. We do this annually to support year-end activities and changes for the new year.
Here are the key dates to remember:
- Thursday, December 23, 2021: Last day for production Check implementations and changes. The freeze includes FedForward®, FedReturn®, FedReceipt® and PDF implementations, delivery/channel changes and settlement changes, as well as Payor changes – reject repair and FedImage® archive.
- Tuesday, January 4, 2022: The window re-opens for production Check implementations and changes.
Please note that customers will still be able to test during these production freeze windows. If you have questions, please contact FedACH® and Check Services Customer Support.
