Services and products to support the FedNow® Service
Matera provides a real-time authorization and ledger platform, Digital Twin, that enables financial institutions to implement and scale instant payments through the FedNow Service without replacing their core banking systems.
Digital Twin maintains a real-time representation of customer balances and authorization rules, allowing banks to support instant payment processing while continuing to operate existing core platforms. The platform supports multiple account types including demand deposit accounts (DDA), savings accounts, lines of credit and other configurable balance types.
Financial institutions interact with Digital Twin through secure APIs and event-driven messaging. These interfaces allow upstream systems to initiate FedNow Service payment requests, perform real-time balance validation, enforce limits and controls, and receive responses within the time constraints required for instant payment processing.
The platform supports use by financial institution operations teams, digital banking channels, corporate treasury systems, and fintech applications that need to initiate or receive instant payments. In addition, Matera offers QR code payment software compliant with the X9.150 standard. This enables financial institutions and merchants to initiate instant payments through a standardized QR framework, helping accelerate adoption of real-time payments and enabling new consumer-to-business payment experiences.
