Additional FedLine Direct Message Environment and Configuration Change Options
The configuration changes listed below are considered complex initiatives with durations that may vary depending on the magnitude of the project. Please note that all of the changes begin by submitting the FedLine Direct Message Modify Worksheet. Your organization will work directly with a FedLine Technical Analyst to complete the additional required actions below at the appropriate time.

Test Definitions
MQ Connectivity Test
Validation of connectivity through a “round trip message” initiated by your organization’s MQ server to the Federal Reserve Banks’ MQ server and back. The “round trip message” may be executed by using a script that the Federal Reserve Banks have provided to your organization or by manually placing a message onto a test queue strictly used for connectivity testing (NOTE: these are not application queues).
Saturday Production Application Test
Environmental changes may be verified using the production version of the Fedwire Funds Service and the Fedwire Securities Service applications along with the Account Balance Monitoring System (ABMS). This test must occur on a scheduled Saturday in order to ensure no disruption of production traffic occurs during the work week.
DIT Application Test
Environmental changes may be verified using the test version of the Fedwire Funds Service and the Fedwire Securities Service applications along with the Account Balance Monitoring System (ABMS).
Federal Reserve Bank-sponsored BRT
Contingency tests for the Fedwire Funds Service designed to demonstrate both the Federal Reserve Banks’ and its participants’ ability to resume processing in the event of a catastrophic outage at one of our processing sites. All high-volume customers, as determined by their Fedwire Services activity, are required to participate in two or three contingency tests per year and at least one of these tests must be conducted from their backup processing site(s) through their Federal Reserve Bank contingency routers.
