Services and products to support the FedNow® Service

Volante supports all FedNow Service participation types at launch. Our solution supports participants on both the send and receive side of every FedNow process flow, including:

  • Send and Receive Customer Credit Transfers
  • Request for Information and Response
  • Request for Return of Funds and Response
  • Request for Payment and its associated responses
  • Liquidity Management Transfers

Institutions can join at any participation level and expand over time without re-platforming — all on a single platform. This includes recently introduced FedNow Service fraud and risk management capabilities.

Beyond the participation types themselves, Volante is building out use cases associated with each participation model to maximize value:

Liquidity management APIs: Volante integrates with the FedNow Account Balance API service, enabling sending participants to actively check their FedNow Master Account balance and control payment flows accordingly.

Request for payment: A remitter may want its bank to auto-approve RFPs below a defined threshold, or from trusted originators such as a designated financial institution or utility company, while retaining manual control over RFPs above threshold or from individual account holders. This rules-based approval capability is available in our solution today.

Industry-specific use cases: Volante supports industry-specific use cases — for example, banks serving the gaming industry with real-time wallet funding through RFP, instant disbursement of player winnings via Send Credit Transfers, and 24x7x365 availability.

As financial institutions’ needs evolve and the industry generates further compelling use cases, Volante continuously aligns to the FedNow roadmap and improves as the service launches new offerings.
