Important notice: Fedwire® Funds Service’s November 2026 release rescheduled to November 2027

On Aug. 27, Swift® announced (Off-site) the decision to delay its November 2026 Standards Release based on the industry’s request for additional time to prepare for the removal of the unstructured postal address format.
After careful consideration, Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) has decided to reschedule the Fedwire Funds Service release from November 2026 to November 2027. This decision reflects our commitment to industry alignment and a coordinated approach across major peer market infrastructures to preserve global interoperability.
More details about the scope of the release will be shared this fall.
