Docusign® and ID.me® for Forms and Agreements Frequently Asked Questions
Below are frequently asked questions and resources for the Docusign and ID.me process for a subset of forms that now use electronic signatures. If your organization does not want to use the Docusign and ID.me process, please contact the support team listed under the form’s FAQ section for an alternate option. Only Docusign electronic signatures and ID.me verifications are permitted. Other versions of electronic signatures are not accepted.
Docusign questions
1. What is Docusign?
Docusign is a secure platform where you can electronically sign documents and agreements.
2. I’m a Signer, but I can’t update my email address.
Certain fields are not editable due to the meta data required to process the form. If information is incorrect, you may decline to sign which will void the current form/agreement at the organization level. As such, your organization will not be able to continue with this specific submission via the Docusign platform. The form may be resubmitted via the Docusign platform, or you may contact the form’s support team to discuss alternative options.
3. Can I use Docusign on a mobile device?
You can use an iOS or Android device to sign documents. Other functionality, such as sending or managing documents, is not available for mobile devices at this time.
4. Does my organization need a Docusign account to submit and sign a form?
Your organization does not need a Docusign account to sign a document; however, signers need to create and sign into their account in order to track the progress of the form.
5. How do I track the progress of my form submitted through Docusign?
You can create and sign into your Docusign account to track the submission and receipt of the form. Signers can create a Docusign account by following the Docusign Account activation (Off-site) steps. Additionally, you may contact the form’s support team for the form status at any time.
6. Can I edit my form after it’s completed and submitted?
No, once a form has been completed and submitted it cannot be modified. If information is incorrect on in-process forms, the Signer may decline to sign which will void the current form/agreement at the organization level. As such, your organization will not be able to continue with this specific submission, but a new form may be resubmitted via the Docusign platform. Please contact the support team listed under the form’s FAQ section for more clarification on edits.
ID.me questions and resources
ID.me provides reliable and secure digital identity verification. Before you can access and electronically sign forms and agreements, you will need to verify your identity using the ID.me authentication process. We encourage you to review below which include more information on creating your account and troubleshooting:
1. What if I already have an ID.me account?
The email address you use with Docusign must be associated with your ID.me account before you can sign documents. This must be your work email address. If you already have an ID.me account, make sure to add your work email to your ID.me account (Off-site) and use this email to complete the Docusign form.
2. Can I create a secondary ID.me account for completing Federal Reserve Bank forms?
You can only have one ID.me account. If you have an account, don’t create a new one to use for transacting business with the Federal Reserve Banks.
If you created a duplicate ID.me account using your work email address or another email address that you own, follow the steps to remove your work email from a duplicate account (Off-site) to make your email address available to add to your original ID.me account.

NOTE: Before using ID.me to sign in to Docusign for the first time, you’ll need to ensure the work email address that you use with Docusign is on your ID.me account. You can then return to the email you received from Docusign and sign in with ID.me.
If you are creating an account for the first time, visit the ID.me Help Center (Off-site), select “Creating an ID.me account for the first time?” and follow the steps to create an account with your work email address, add the email you use with Docusign, and verify your identity. You can only have ONE ID.me account, but you can add many email addresses (work, business, personal) to that ID.me account.
