Case Type Description | Proper Usage
ACH Reclamation - Used by the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Bureau of the Fiscal Service and Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) to provide ACH Reclamations electronically.
Reclamation notices (ACH Reclamation – FMS Form 133) are generated by the Fiscal Service Regional Financial Center. The reclamation notice is attached as a PDF file to the RECA case. Each notice will consist of Form 133 Part 3 (Financial Organization Copy) and Part 5 (Notice to Account Owners Copy).
Depository financial institutions (DFIs) cannot originate a RECA with the Federal Reserve Banks. If a RECA is originated by a DFI, it will be cancelled and the DFI will be notified.
RECA cases are view-only and responses are not available within the Exception Resolution Service at this time. See Green Book: Guide to Federal ACH Payments and Collections (Off-site) for instructions. Additional information about ACH Reclamations is available at Treasury Services.
