Future release roadmap for the Fedwire® Funds Service
We’re looking ahead and sharing the following release roadmap for the Fedwire Funds Service to help you plan and prepare for upcoming releases.
December 2025 release
As previously communicated, a number of enhancements will be implemented on Dec. 8 for the FedPayments® Manager – Funds application and for the FedLine Direct® Solution. The latest changes (bug fixes) will be deployed to the DIT2 environment on Friday, Oct. 24. Therefore, the DIT2 environment will close earlier on that day (noon ET) to accommodate this deployment. We highly recommend that everyone test these changes and train their staff. Please review the following documents for additional details:
- FedPayments Manager – Funds application: Known Issues List in the “Help” link within the application under “General” in the left navigation (updated version available on Oct. 26)
- FedLine Direct enhancements: Fedwire Funds Service ISO 20022 Quick Reference Guide (October 2025) available on the public page in the MyStandards® portal
November 2026 release
On November 23, 2026, the Fedwire Funds Service intends to implement the following changes to ensure interoperability with modifications that Swift® and CHIPS® (peer operator) will make:
- Remove the fully unstructured postal address option in favor of a single hybrid postal address format for all parties and agents across all message types (i.e., remove three free-text lines of 35 characters each, require town name and country, and allow the option to include other structured address elements such as two free-text lines of up to 70 characters each)
- Make enhancements to the investigation messages (camt.110/camt.111) to enable better structuring of frequently used investigation use cases
- Implement additional enhancements to the FedPayments Manager – Funds application (e.g., provide Create Payment Return feature for past messages)
To ensure customers have access to six months of testing in the DIT2 environment, the changes outlined above will be available in the DIT2 environment starting in May 2026. Testing requirements will be provided on the ISO 20022 Implementation Center as soon as they are finalized. Updated format specifications and guides (e.g., usage guidelines, Implementation Guide, Quick Reference Guide, Technical Guide) will be posted on the Fedwire Funds Service Release 2026 page within the MyStandards portal by Swift in early November 2025.
FedLine Advantage® Solution users: A FedPayments Manager – Funds scope document will be posted to the “Help” link that will reflect the November 2026 release changes.

Post-ISO 20022 feedback survey
We plan to distribute a survey this week to gather your institution’s overall feedback on the Fedwire Funds Service ISO 20022 implementation on July 14. The survey request will be sent from the frbsurveys@chi.frb.org mailbox. If you receive this request, please have an individual responsible for your institution’s wire operation complete and return the brief survey to help us refine our readiness processes and outreach efforts for future releases. For questions about the survey, please contact us or your relationship manager.

Updated Quick Reference Guide
An updated version of the Fedwire Funds Service ISO 20022 Quick Reference Guide (October 2025) is now available on the public page in the MyStandards portal that includes a new chapter on accounting reporting requirements.
