Use our Fedwire Discount Calculator Tool (xls) (Updated October 24, 2011) to determine the impact the Fedwire Funds incentive discount will have on a customer’s bill.
1 Incentive discounts are applied to every transfer over 50 percent of a customer’s historic benchmark volume. Historic benchmark volume in any given month will be calculated by multiplying the number of business days in the current month by the historic daily average volume passing through that master account (combined to include all subaccounts) in the past 5 calendar years. Historic daily average volume will be a simple average of the daily average volume in each of the past 5 fully completed calendar years. If fewer than 5 fully complete calendar years of data are available for a particular customer, then the historic average is calculated based on the number of years available. If no prior full calendar years are available, then the historic benchmark volume is set equal to the current month volume. Please see the Federal Reserve Bank 2012 Business Days calendar below for a list of the total number of business days per month.
