Fedwire® Services Production Environment Test

The Production environment houses the Fedwire Funds Service and the Fedwire Securities Service applications along with the Account Balance Monitoring System (ABMS) used daily by our customers. Limited customer testing is available on selected Saturdays throughout the year. Two types of production tests are available:

Saturday Production Testing

Customers may utilize the Production environment on designated Saturdays to test various scenarios with the Federal Reserve Banks, including technical infrastructure changes, application software changes, contingency testing, training and back-end changes.

Please note that the Federal Reserve Banks require that customers test all application-related changes in our Production environment on a Saturday, prior to introducing those changes during the normal Production week.

If you will be testing your connection only and do not require application traffic, please complete the FedLine Direct® Message Connectivity Test or Repoint Request Form (PDF).

Contingency Tests (Business Continuity Test (BCT))

The Federal Reserve Banks are committed to helping ensure industry-wide disaster preparedness and contingency planning. We schedule two Fedwire Services contingency tests each year. All high-volume customers, as determined by their Fedwire Services activity, are required to participate in at least one contingency test per year, either from their primary or back-up processing site. In addition, all customers are invited to test contingency preparedness in our Depository Institution Testing (DIT) environment.

We reserve the right to pre-empt any published testing dates to accommodate special situations or emergencies that may arise.
